Why can I only buy some plants at certain times of the year?
Plants are sold only when the season or time of year is correct for planting.
How big are the plants you sell?
On each plant purchase page, it may state either the size of the plant pot or the age of the plant for sale, however, we cannot guarantee this.
Do you use slug pellets?
No, we do not use slug pellets because the pellets are dangerous to other British wildlife.
Do you fertilise the plants?
Yes, we fertilise the growing plants in the nursery. Sometimes we add a slow release fertiliser in the compost mix, this looks like little balls.

Are plants hardened before sending?
Yes, all plants are hardened off prior to mailing to you and are therefore okay to plant once they arrive.
Are plants watered before you post them?
Yes, all plants are watered prior to mailing them to you.
What is the packaging made from?
Currently, some packing materials are made from environmentally friendly card or paper. Unfortunately, the bubble wrap is made from plastic. However, we are testing paper ‘bubble wrap’ instead of plastic bubble wrap, although the paper ‘bubble wrap’ has a strange odour.
Can we visit your nursery?
Unfortunately not. To offer you great prices, we have to stay with mail order only. Sorry.

Compost Help

Why don't you sell compost?
Unfortunately, we are not able to find a delivery service at a low enough price to deliver large heavy bags of compost. However, when we do find a suitable delivery company we will certainly start stocking compost.
Do you use peat in the compost?
No is the simple answer. We use a peat free compost which is made from recycled compostable materials.
