Orange Hawkweed is an interesting, perennial plant with hairy leaves, it is hardy within the UK and has amazing bright orange flowers bringing your garden to life with a pop of colour attracting bees, hover flies and other valuable invertebrates. Sometimes this plant is also known as fox and cubs.

Beautiful orange, yellowish, and reddish flowers on 10 to 20-inch (25 cm to 50 cm) stems appear in early summer through to autumn.

Valuable British bees, hover flies and other invertebrates will thank you for planting Hawkweed.

These plants prefer a light, well drained soil, and are also very hardy. However, these plants will happily grow in most soils, so long as the soil is not waterlogged. We have even seen people growing their hawkweed in garden walls between the bricks and stones.

It looks stunning when grown between paving flags or in a gravel pathway. Can also be grown in crevices in garden walls.

When flowers have died, cut the stems back to encourage more flowers.
