Mint and Honey tea
Mint and Honey tea is a delightful warm drink with the refreshing properties of the Mint herb and the delicious sweetness of honey.
To make the tea, pick about half a handful of young leaves from the mint herb plant and finely chop the leaves. Add the finely chopped leaves to a cup of boiling water, either loose or in a small (about tea bag sized) food-safe linen bag.
- Allow leaves to steep in the boiling water for about 2 minutes
- After about 2 minutes, remove the bag of chopped leaves or strain the tea.
- Add Honey to taste.
Done, that was easy! Your Mint and Honey tea is now ready to drink and enjoy.
Please note: if you are DIABETIC you should NOT add the honey, however you could possibly use sweeteners recommended by your GP or your health carer.
