It is always best to use the leaves fresh rather than dried because the drying process can make leaves lose a lot of flavour.
Perfect for any garden planter. It is a bushy dwarf shrub perfect for cottage gardens, Mediterranean gardens, patio gardens or balconies. Trim back during the spring to ensure there are always plenty of young leaves.
It is possible to grow in a plant pot on a kitchen windowsill.
It prefers pretty much any well drained soil. Also, because it is a hardy plant, it will tolerate a windy position. Do not let the plant dry out during long hot summers, because drying out can make it look a little scruffy.
